2Sketches4U!!

Well, actually, I only have one for you today! But check back later in the week and I just might have a Christmas version of this sketch! DRS Designs is hosting the sketch challenge blog 2Sketches4U this week.

Here is my card for the challenge, images by DRS Designs...

I used one of the new sentiments that was released last week, along with a candy corn image from the last release! DRS has a great candy corn background image that would have been perfect for this card but somehow that must be the one DRS image that I don't have!!! Is that possible? LOL I'll have to make sure I fix that before Halloween rolls around again!!! This was a great sketch for using a sentiment as a focal point. Sme alternating ribbons and jewels finished things off.

Be sure to stop by the 2sketches4u blog and check out their DT's cards using DRS images. Participate in the challenge and you could win yourself a DRS Designs gift certificate.

Thanks for checking in...

Color Throwdown #67

Welcome back to another Color Throwdown color challenge! Can you believe we are on challenge #67?! Wow!! Tammy is our hostess this week and she chose...

Here is my card for the challenge...images by DRS Designs...

I just love this new scarecrow image that was part of the last release from DRS. I paired him with the new Thanksgiving arch sentiment. I used a couple of embossing folders on the brown and durango panels. I found some bakers twine at the store this weekend and used it on my card along with some Martha Stewart leaf punches.

I hope you will take time to visit the other CTD designers blogs...

It's All About Time...

I hope everyone had a good Halloween and didn't eat too much candy!!! The heavy rain held off until trick or treating was over for us, luckily. In honor of our extra hour this weekend, I thought I would share a related project!

Images by DRS Designs...

I found this clock at the local dollar store. I simply took the glass out, took the hands off and then decorated the inside.Iused one of my favorite DRS images - such a fun one to color - sunflower bucket. All the panels are adhered over the face that was already there. I traced the outside of the clock on the back of some patterned paper and then cut it a little bit smaller to fit the clock frame.
Some jewels finished things off. Another cute, inexpensive and quick project idea for you!

Thanks for checking in...
