Third and final post for today!!

Whew!! This is my third post for today...I apologize to those of that don't like so many updates, but...I had a busy day!!! Scroll down for my ArtfulINKables blog hop post along with my Color Throwdown post!

Today was the sketch challenge over on SCS...I just had to use some of the soon to be released images by DRS Designs - available this coming Saturday, July 18, 2009.

It was a perfect sketch for these great new images...

The sentiment(D837) on this one is a current image...I simply used one of my EK Success border punches on my kraft panel and then added some wide gingham ribbon.

For this one, I flipped the sketch onto it's side...

Anyone hungry for some cheese and crackers??!! LOL...another fun image to color! I stamped the image twice and cut out the blanket, colored it and adhered it with pop dots. The red panel was stamped with the newer silhouette branch background (H363) and the kraft panel was stamped with Vicki's versatile background (H369).

Thanks so much for stopping by...(again!)...I really do appreciate it.
See you soon...

ArtfulINKables Blog Hop!!

second post for today...please scroll down for my Color Throwdown post...

Welcome to your next stop on the ArtfulINKables blog hop! If you arrived from Elena's blog, you're in the right place...if you want to start from the beginning, head on over to Kristen's blog and make your way back. Since it's summer and Kristin has been super busy, there is no new release for July so the team to decided to do a blast from the past blog hop! Meaning, we're showing you some sets that were released recently and not so recently. Have you seen all the sets that Kristin has available?!!! Plenty to choose from...make sure when you're done with the hop you go take a look!

For this hop I decided to use the Hybiscus set... a set of two stamps...a flower and a leaf. I made an invite, thank you and favor set...I also used the basic sentiments set.

Images by ArtfulINKables...

The favor is made from a clear acrylic block (that you would put your stamps on!). I found them at the Target $1 spot. I stamped the flower on cardstock, matted it with black and then adhered it to the back of the block with crystal effects. I then added two sided tape to the outer edges and added some seed beads and dazzling diamonds. It can be used as a paper weight or just adhere a magnet dot and it's ready for your fridge or file cabinet!

Thanks for checking in on my stop of the hop...head on over to Velta's blog for your next stop on the inspiration trail!

See you soon...

A Quick Peek

Phew...it's late and I have two posts for you for tomorrow, so I will be brief!! Today was the color challenge over on SCS...here is my card...

Images by DRS Designs...new images that will be released this Saturday, July 18!!!

I kept this one pretty simple with all these colors! I added some white gel pen to the dots on the butterfly. The jewels in the flower centers are colored yellow and I added a yellow dew drop to mimic the sunshine! The white flowers are adhered with pop dots. Simple but with some punch, I think!!!

Be sure to stop by the rest of the DRS DT blogs for more sneak peeks!! This is such a fun release. I'll be back tomorrow with my Color Throwdown post along with an ArtfulINKables blog hop!!!

See you soon...

Sneak Peeks!!

Today is the day that the DRS DT will begin showing sneak peeks of the latest releases that will be available this coming Saturday, July 18, 2009!!! What a summer fun filled release this is going to be. Yesterday's technique challenge on SCS was to make a grid behind the focal image...here is my card using this cute new dolphin image and sentiment...

Images by DRS Designs...

I used the interlocking circles background (H512), stamped in versamark ink on the blue panel. The sparkly panel is sparkly sticker paper!! I added some ribbon and dew drops to finish things off.

Be sure to stop by the rest of the DT's blogs to see their peeks. We'll be sharing them all week so get your pen and paper ready and start making your list!! Check back tomorrow for two posts!! My weekly Color Throwdown post AND an ArtfulINKables blog hop post! Who said summer was a time for relaxing?!

See you soon...

It's in the bag...

Today's challenge over on the DRS Designs blog is to make genie bag! These are quick and easy bags and can be made in any size you need to fit anything you need to fit inside!!! Check out the SCS tutorial HERE.

Here is my bag...images by DRS Designs...

I used a clear small lunch bag for my center bag. The large strawberry image (K291) is one of my favorites. I used a Sizzix basket die and stamped it with Vicki's versatile background (H369)! The green panel was embossed with the argyle embossing folder. An EK Success border punch, some ribbon, a button and jewels finished things off on the front.

Of course, I couldn't leave the back blank so I stamped the small strawberry image (D798) on the bottom and this friendly sentiment (H284). I also filled the bag with some Strawberry & Creme candies...well, it was full when I started the project....they are very yummy candies!

Be sure to stop back at the DRS Designs blog to see what the rest of the DT created. These are great bags to make in advance and have on hand when the need arises. If you play along, and we hope you do, share the link in the comment section and if you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword DRSC25.
